A first half strike from Mo Davies was enough to send Binfield’s Development side through to the third round of the Suburban League Cup after a 1-1 draw with Ascot United at Ascot Racecourse.

Already leading 2-1 from the first leg, Ellis Woods side increased their advantage in the first half through Davies before the Yellamen levelled things up in the second half.

It was a third goal in four matches for Davies who also scored both goals for Binfield in the first leg as they won the second round tie 3-2.

The Moles have already been drawn at home to Eversley & California in the third round, the Boars defeating Maidenhead United 5-2 over two legs.

Bracknell Town have a second round tie of their own against Knaphill, with two legs starting on 19th November.
