Wokingham & Emmbrook FC beaten and Hellenic Division 1 East round up

AFC Aldermaston bounced back from their Woodley United defeat with a 3-2 win over neighbours Wokingham & Emmbrook at the weekend.

Match action from Alex Woodrow above shows a busy afternoon for Dan Smith in the Alders goal but it was the visitors who left Lowther Road with three Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East points and a third win of the season.

Richard Jones and Michael Porter (2) were on the score sheet for Aldermaston while Josh Pearson and an own goal accounted for the Satsuma’s tally.

Sandhurst Town have a ‘2’ in each column of the table following a 2-0 defeat to champions Penn & Tylers Green while Woodley United lost 3-1 on penalties to Shrivenham in Hellenic League Challenge Cup following a 1-1 draw in normal time. ‘Fresh Prince’ Josh Drew scoring for the Kestrals.

Also in the league, Danny Blatchford netted for Finchampstead but it wasn’t enough to earn the points against Headington Amateurs who won 2-1 at the Memorial Ground.
