Wokingham & Emmbrook lifted the annual Martin Joyce Memorial Trophy this evening in the five goal encounter at Binfield’s Hill Farm Lane.

The Moles and Satsuma’s play for an annual trophy in memory of Martin Joyce, and is usually a two legged affair when the sides occupy the same division.

Wokingham’s relegation at the end of last season means just one game will be played this time around – and it was both competitive and confidence boosting for the Clive McNelly’s (pictured above) side who begin their Hellenic League Division 1 East campaign on Saturday.

The Suma’s led 3-1 at the break through Craig Haylett, captain Will Day and Jake Wheeler while Sean Moore got the Moles goal, and it was a tight finish when Tom Williams made it 3-2 in the second half.

More to follow from Duds on this..
