Futsal in Micronesia, the games future in England and some stunning football shirts

Paul Watson and Alicia Povey are on the latest Berkshire Football Stories Podcas

A very special episode of the Berkshire Football Stories Podcast takes a look at Futsal in the UK and the Federated States of Micronesia.

Tom Canning is joined by writer and niche football enthusiast Paul Watson (Up Pohnpei) as he discusses a Futsal tournament being organised between the islands, the challenges in setting it up and getting teams together as well as designing and selling some incredible kits for the four Islands: Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk and Yap, to raise funds to help the competition take place.

Joining Tom in the host chair is reigning Berkshire’s Women’s Footballer of the Year, Futsal star for Southampton Aztecs and sometimes BT Sport Futsal pundit Alicia Povey for a wider conversation on the game and its future in the UK.

If you’d like to have a look at the shirts and potentially purchase one, take a look at Paul’s Twitter here. You can buy Paul’s book ‘Up Pohnpei’ here.
