Two wins in a row for Binfield FC as Thame United bubble bursts

Thame United’s bubble well and truly burst on Monday night as magnificent Binfield blew the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League wide open with a 3-1 win.

United were unbeaten in the league until consecutive Tuesday night defeats in East Berkshire to Bracknell Town and now the Moles who can edge their way back up the table with two games in hand.

Brad Pagliaroli and Liam Ferdinand gave Roger Herridge’s side a 2-1 half time lead after Lynton Goss equalised for Thame – Ferdinands goal coming after his penalty kick was saved.

Binfield’s poor run ended on Saturday with a 3-0 win and hat-trick from young Luke Hayden at Flackwell Heath, and it was the young man who was on target to make it 3-1 and seal the points for Binfield.
