What to do now the 2025/26 season is all but finished with just a couple of fixtures to go in some divisions and Non-League Finals day later this month.
Why the answer is OBSESS ABOUT WHICH DIVISION YOUR TEAM MIGHT BE IN NEXT SEASON.
Thankfully that’s where NonLeagueMaps steps in with its often very reliable predictions for what each division up and down the English Football Pyramid will look like next season based on distances between grounds, historic division footprint, ground shares as well as promotions, relegations and sadly, folded clubs.
Before we get into the predictions for Berkshire clubs, it’s really important to note that that is what these are. Predictions. While NonLeagueMaps is highly regarded for accuracy, nothing is confirmed until the Football Association (FA) release the official line ups.
With that said, lets go.
The headlines from the tabs on the spreadsheets for us are easily the move of Thatcham Town and Tadley Calleva to the Combined Counties League Premier Division North – recreating a Berkshire Super League of sorts with nine sides (admittedly you’ve got to play fast and loose with the Berkshire border here – but we do that a lot around here anyway).
Last season both sides competed in the South division with Tadley finishing runners-up.
Lets move to a more pyramid style then. The predictions start pretty nailed on with the National League South, but it gets harder to judge after that.
Step 2: National League South
Maidenhead United, Slough Town
Step 3: Southern League Premier Division South
Bracknell Town
Step 4: Isthmian League South Central Division One
Ascot United, Binfield, Windsor & Eton
Step 5: Combined Counties League Premier Division North
Abingdon United, Burnham, Holyport, Reading City, Tadley Calleva, Thatcham Town, Wallingford & Crowmarsh, Wokingham Town
Combined Counties League Premier Division South
Everesley & California, Virginia Water, Yateley United
Step 6: Combined Counties League Division One
Berks County, Langley, Maidenhead Town, Woodley United
Wessex League Division One
AFC Aldermaston, Kintbury Rangers, Sandhurst Town
