Sixty five goals, twelve wins and one promotion: A remarkable season for Windsor & Eton Women

Cathy Corr has one again guided Windsor & Eton Women to promotion securing the Division Two South title in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League.

In a recent interview on the club website she had the following to say on their success, “In many ways the season went as we expected, knowing the huge challenge ahead. No season is ever straightforward and there are always unexpected moments along the way, but with experience you learn to anticipate potential issues and be proactive in managing them. With the strength of the management team, the support around the club, and the players all pulling together, we were able to plan well and support one another through the tougher moments. That collective effort helped us make the journey as smooth as possible and ultimately achieve our goals.”

Emma Donovan, who scored a whopping 40 goals for the side in the 2024/25 season, sadly obtained a season-ending injury during a County Cup tie with fellow Berkshire side Finchampstead. Whilst that won’t have been the way she’d have wanted her season to go, she did score her 50th goal as a Windsor player, making her the first player, male or female, to reach the milestone.

Jacqui Hanson and Ida Manneh stepped up to the plate for the squad however scoring a collective 27 goals between them with Ida currently claiming the title of top goalscorer in the division, however Denham’s Jemima Potter may well nab the crown from her with two games to go. Speaking of Denham, with 37 points of a possible 42 secured for Windsor, it was only the Middlesex side who stood in their way of an invincible season. Not to be however, as Denham snagged a 4-3 win. The trio can’t take all the plaudits however as there were in fact ten separate goalscorers throughout the season.

Five clean sheets registered by Jemima O’Brien for the season too before a wrist break saw Jasmine Voskova-Matsell step up having signed in September.

Ultimately, a very well-deserved back to back promotion by the team and they’ll ply their trade in Division One for the 2026/27 season alongside fellow Berkshire sides Ashridge Park, Caversham United, Eversley & California and Wallingford & Crowmarsh.
