FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round results: Binfield power through as Reading City earn replay

Seven of the eleven Football in Berkshire covered sides survived to fight another day in the 2025/26 FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday afternoon.

Binfield were the biggest winners with a 4-1 win at home to South Midlands League Winslow United while Reading City returned from Gloucestershire with a second chance after being held to a 0-0 draw at the Corinium by Cirencester Town.

The Cityzens will ‘go again’ on Tuesday night at The Rivermoor while the other draw on the day – Thornbury Town 2-2 Virginia Water will also likely take place at Slough Town’s Arbour Park on Tuesday night, though at the time of writing that has not been confirmed.

Thatcham Town’s season has started well following relegation at the end of last season. The Kingfishers beat Petersfield 2-0 at Waterside Park to follow up an opening day league draw with Badshot Lea.

Meanwhile on Friday night almost 400 supporters watched on as Wokingham Town left it late to beat Western League Brislington 3-2.
