Reece Smith is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Player of the Season (Male).

As well as driving the Magpies forward, Smith has scored some crucial goals as Maidenhead secured another season of Vanarama National League football.

The nomination we received for the award said: “The season that the Berkshire-born youngster truly came of age. Reece has ten goals and numerous crucial assists to his name for a Maidenhead United side which has needed all of his craft and guile this season. Smith has now become a leading light in Step 1 and a move to an EFL club – like his former MUFC Youth Team colleague Josh Kelly, now at Wimbledon – seems a near certainty. An impressive season laden with special goals hit a new high recently with a well-deserved England C cap against Wales, where he was arguably the best player in the Three Lions on the night.”
