Bracknell Town are appealing to the local community to help them in their bid for more cup and league glory.

They were in the national spotlight last year when their Emirates FA Cup first-round tie against Ipswich was screened live on TV – and they are now just one step away from making the first round again when all the EFL Division 1 and 2 clubs enter the competition.

National League and former Football League club Dagenham & Redbridge stand in their way, with their fourth and final qualifying round clash being played at the SB Stadium in Sandhurst on Saturday, October 14. The kick-off has been brought forward to 12.30 pm as the tie is to be shown live on BBC TV via the red button, iPlayer and BBC Sport website.

Louie Steinborn-Busse, the club’s vice-chairman and secretary, said: “This is obviously a big game for us, and we are expecting a good crowd, but we are looking to increase our support for the rest of the season.

“All under-18s will be admitted free to all of our home league games, but we cannot do that for the FA Cup, so for Dagenham it will be just £2 at the gate.
“We know there are a great many youngsters who love football; you have only to see the many who play for local clubs like FC Bracknell. Put them together, and they would create an incredible atmosphere at our matches.

“The more supporters we have, the louder the cheers, and the greater the energy around the ground. Our players thrive on vocal backing, so supporters can inspire the team to win matches; the more we have, the better. We would love to see at least 1,000 at the Dagenham game as that would create a phenomenal atmosphere.”

Louie continued: “We already have a good number of youngsters coming to our games on a regular basis, and we are asking them to encourage their friends to come along too. They can also promote the club via their social media channels. Supporters can help make this a season to remember.”

All tickets for the Dagenham tie can be purchased online via the club’s website. The cost is £10 for adults and £7 for concessions, while on the day it will be £12 and £9 respectively, and £2 for under-18s.
