While England’s Lionesses battle it out at the 2023 World Cup in Australia, the women’s game will have another boost at home with the launch of new teams at Maidenhead United and Berks County.
The Swords new side will play and train in the Ascot and Bracknell area and is looking for players over the age of 18.
A post on social media says: “We are on the hunt to add to our new women’s team, which is forming for the 23/24 season. We train and play in the Ascot/Bracknell area.”

Meanwhile, Maidenhead United are launching a Development Team in the FA Women’s National Reserve League for 2023/24.
The club are hosting trials at Furze Platt Senior School Astro on Thursday evenings (7-9pm) from the 1st June.
