The Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North title could all but be decided on Bank Holiday Monday if results go in leaders Ascot United’s favour.

The Yellas need a win on the road at Wallingford & Crowmarsh – the side that knocked them out of last seasons FA Vase – and for Egham Town to drop points in the derby at Virginia Water on Tuesday night.

Jamie Tompkins side – already FA Vase finalists this season – have long been favourites for the title and beat Harefield United 3-0 at home on Saturday.

If those permutations don’t come to pass the next opportunity will be when Ascot travel to Edgware & Kingsbury on Thursday but at the very least a win today would secure a play-off spot for the Yellas.

Elsewhere on Bank Holiday Monday, Reading City visit Holyport in the CCL and there’s a derby of sorts in the Isthmian League as Thatcham Town go in search of ruffling some Basingstoke Town feathers while Binfield’s play-off hopes largely rest on maximum points from their final three games, starting with Marlow.

In the Vanarama National League South more vital points are on offer for Hungerford Town as they host Havant & Waterlooville in their bid to avoid the drop.
