Ascot United’s FA Vase semi final ended in penalty shootout delight as they beat Corsham Town 5-4 in sudden death..

Brendan Matthew did what Brendan Matthew does best and opened the scoring for Ascot before Corsham went ahead shortly after the break first with James Rusby levelling and then Sean Keet putting the home side ahead.

Substitute Marcus Mealing made his presence felt though, with Rob Gerrard getting on the end of his good work to get the Yellas equaliser.

The game then, of course, went to penalties and it was Sean McCormack who struck the winning penalty after Corsham missed both sudden death penalties.
