Another night, another moment for Bracknell’s Aimee Claypole who made her FA Women’s Super League debut for Chelsea Women on Tuesday night.
Already a Chelsea first-team debutant in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup last season, Claypole came on and played the final minutes of the Blues 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Kingsmeadow, a win that keeps Chelsea as favourites to retain their FA WSL title.
At Football in Berkshire, we’ve followed Claypole’s career with interest since we started typing in 2016 as she made her way from Whitegrove to Reading FC, then Chelsea and international honours with both Finland and England.

The attacker replaced German international Melanie Leupolz on 81 minutes taking the field alongside Jess Carter, Maren Mjelde and briefly Millie Bright.
Aimee of course isn’t the only Berkshire youngster making her way at the West London club with Lewis Hall featuring on several occasions for the Blues first team this season.
