One FC Bracknell youngster was left starstruck this week after meeting her hero, Chelsea Women’s striker Sam Kerr, in a surprise cooked up by the club.
Bella Harrington had written to the Australian international with a good luck message for Kerr and the Blues ahead of their next fixtures which includes a Champions League home tie with Paris Saint Germain on Thursday night.
Bella, who plays for FC Bracknell under 8s Lions and is coached by her dad Matt, was greeted by Kerr in the stand at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea had concocted the plan with the youngster’s Dad.
During the meeting, Sam and Chelsea Women gifted Bella a new number 20 Kerr shirt and four hospitality tickets for the game against PSG. She also promised Bella she will do the famous backflip for her if she scores.
An FC Bracknell note said: “Well done Bella and a massive thank you to Sam and Chelsea FCW for inspiring the next generation.”
