Premier League side AFC Bournemouth will visit North Hampshire (and technically Berkshire) in January.
The Cherries will face Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division South Tadley Calleva at Barlows Park in the Hampshire FA Senior Cup Third Round on Tuesday 10th January at 7:45pm.
Tadley – who’s ground is technically inside the Berkshire border – will face the Premier League side after beating East Cowes Victoria Athletic 4-2 and Bournemouth FC 3-0 in the previous rounds.
A statement from Tadley said: “This will be an all-ticket event and details will be shared once agreed with our opponenets.”
It’s unlikely of course AFC Bournemouth will send a first team, but that is unlikely to deter supporters and interested parties if recent high-profile County Cup ties in Berkshire are anything to go by with both Long Crendon and Ascot United posting four-figure attendances last season for games against Wycombe Wanderers.
Tadley are currently 8th in the CCL Premier South and face a Hampshire derby on Saturday at home to Fleet Town. More details on fixtures here.
