Watch Michael Eacott’s assist as Bracknell Town take a point at Poole Town

The Robins struck twice in injury time to earn a 2-2 draw

Bracknell Town left it late on Tuesday night on the South Coast but had an unlikely hero to thank as they snatched a point at the death at Poole Town in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Eacott has been in and out of the side this season with Bracknell also boasting Simon Grant in their squad, but he certainly repaid Jamie McClurg and Carl Withers’s faith after starting three games in a row, as he ventured up the field in the final minute of the game to meet a header from a corner that was then turned in by Liam Ferdinand.

It wasn’t looking good for Bracknell, a goal down after eight minutes and 2-0 down on 88, it was two corners that got them a point in injury time as first Jack Dean and then Ferdinand scored a quick-fire double.

‘Cup fever’ has certainly been the centre of attention at Bottom Meadow in recent weeks with the Robins runs in the FA Cup and FA Trophy continuing, league matters have barely got a look in and it is the FA Cup that is in sight again on Saturday with the visit of Vanarama National League North Banbury United in the Fourth Qualifying Round.
