Former Ascot United and Binfield Ladies striker Nicole Edwards is taking on a big challenge to raise money for the charity Autism Unlimited.
Edwards, who now lives in Dorset, is part of a five-strong team aiming to visit all 92 English Football League clubs in 92 hours with the aim of raising £92,000.
A post on the group’s JustGiving page says: “Everything is sorted – we have transport, the route to follow, a schedule to keep to and the energy and drive to help raise awareness of Autism Unlimited, to raise money for the charity to help them to continue the amazing work they do.
“We all work for Autism Unlimited, in Portfield School, and are giving up some of our Easter holidays to drive around the country (and south Wales!). It will be great fun but what matters the most is how much awareness and money we can raise. You will be able to follow us on Facebook as we will be ‘reporting live’ from each stadium as we reach it.
“£92,000 will make such a difference to Autism Unlimited.”
