The 2021/22 FA Trophy Third Round draw has been released and given Berkshire clubs Maidenhead, Hungerford Town and Slough Town, a trio of home ties.
Maidenhead face Maidstone United in a fixture dubbed the ‘Ellul Classico’, as former Magpie, Joe Ellul’s, current club will travel to York Road. That said, the defender is currently carrying a significant ankle ligament injury and as a result, is unlikely to feature in the matchday squad.
Meanwhile, Hungerford will play host to Weymouth who sit just one place and one point above Maidenhead in the league. A tough tie but Hungerford are in good form whilst Weymouth have had a challenging November and struggled to register a win during the month.
Whilst Slough will welcome fellow division side Eastbourne Borough to Arbour Park having faced the side in a division loss in which Charley Kendall netted a convincing hat-trick against the Rebels however Ben Harris denied Eastbourne a clean sheet as he slotted one home in the 89th minute. Slough will be after the home advantage against the Sports.
