Three to Watch: The women’s games to look out for this Sunday

1. Ascot United Ladies vs Oxford City

Southern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division

Ascot have had a mixed bag of a season after their FA Cup exit, with four games under their belt and two wins and two losses registered so far this season. Whilst Oxford are yet to really get going this season, having played just two fixtures so far this season, beaten by fellow league team Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup whilst their game against Moneyfields was postponed. With 10 goal-scorers amongst the team already this season, Ascot will be keen to put more goals in the net this weekend.

2. Wokingham & Emmbrook Ladies vs Woking Ladies 1st

Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 1

Wokingham & Emmbrook have had a busy and varied set of results so far this season and will be looking to build on their draw against fellow Berkshire side Eversley & California. They meet third place Woking for the first time this year, who have an impressive five in five wins. Sarah Leonard, of Wokingham & Emmbrook has seven goals to her name so far this season.

3. S4K FC Berks County Ladies vs Taplow United Ladies

Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 3 South

Division 3 South is looking exceptionally competitive this season as the top four teams trading places at the top. Taplow are currently second with two games in hand whilst S4K sit just below in third. Both teams are yet to play since football returned from lockdown so they’ll both be straight out the blocks for this fixture. Jacqueline Hanson has an impressive 11 goals in three appearances so she’ll be one to look out for in the Taplow side, whilst S4K have 9 different goal-scorers on the sheet so far.
