Competitive non-league football returns for the first time since March – and with no less a competition than the 140th FA Cup.

Teams at steps 4, 5 and 6 of the English Football Pyramid kick off on Tuesday night and there are six Berkshire sides all hoping to make it through to the Preliminary Round on Saturday 12th September.

It might only be a month since the 2019/20 FA Cup was won by Arsenal, but the road to Wembley starts now and Football in Berkshire will have team news from Ascot United, Binfield, Reading City, Sandhurst Town, Virginia Water and Windsor. Previews of all six games are here.

Added to that, there will be live updates from Windsor’s trip to Aylesbury Vale Dynamos on the FiB Twitter account from 7:45pm with Rob Davies, and you’ll also be able to get updates from Basingstoke Town vs Bournemouth which is being played at Reading City’s Rivermoor ground.

Football in Berkshire is looking for new talent. If you love your grassroots football, or have dreamed of being a football reporter, take a look at the opportunities available here.
