Former Windsor FC manager Mick Woodham has been talking to Football in Berkshire’s daily podcast about his managerial career so far, and his desire to get back in to the game.
Episode 18 of the Berkshire Football Stories podcast – which publishes a new interview with a someone involved in the non league and grassroots game every day during lockdown – was released on Thursday.
Woodham, who has had a year out of the game after leaving Windsor last summer, looks back at where his career got started, a brief spell at Bracknell Town and what happened when he started to take the FA Vase seriously.
The ex Royalists boss also talks openly about his desire to get back into the game and manage again, and had one piece of advice for his fellow bosses: “You have to be very fortunate these days, if a club gets a good manager they really should look after them, equally, if a manager is at a good club, stay there, stay there and enjoy the club because it’s tough getting back in.”
