Football in Berkshire’s Women’s Football correspondent Abi Ticehurst takes a look back at the 2019/20 season, speaking to representatives of every Berkshire club.
Some answers to her big questions from manager Craig Garepo and team player Charli Davies of Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League side Slough Town Ladies FC.
What’s the best thing about playing/working for the club?
Charli – The best part about playing for Slough Town is the people, everyone is so caring and understanding. Each person has completely different personalities which I believe makes us a great team on and off the pitch.
Craig – Best thing for me is the level of support given by the club and plus the facilities are amazing.
What’s been your favourite moment at the club?
Charli – My favourite club moment has to be when we were playing against another team and the amount of shots that we had and missed almost all of them!
Craig – Beating Ascot 5-3!
What are you doing during this extended break to keep yourself on top of your game both on and off the pitch?
Charli – At the moment I’m recovering from a knee injury, so I am keeping fit my doing my physio and going on bike rides and doing boot camps to keep all my fitness up! Can’t wait to get back playing!!
Craig – Playing Fifa and GTA5 on the PS4…
