Berkshire Boxing Day football bonanza

For the football mad this Christmas it is possible to get to three games in the county on Boxing Day

Boxing Day football is an important institution in this country and Christmas 2019 gives football supporters in Berkshire a real Boxing Day Bonanza. It’s possible to attend three fixtures in one day.

We’ll tell you how.

12 noon – Windsor vs Virginia Water

It all starts at mid-day at Windsor FC’s Stag Meadow where Windsor host their tenants Virginia Water in an Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division tie.

3pm – Reading City vs Binfield

After the Windsor vs Virginia Water tie, a short drive to Scours Lane in Reading where Reading City take on Binfield in another Hellenic Premier League clash.

Binfield are playing some good football this year and lie in 6th place, Reading City lie only one place behind the Moles albeit having played a few more games than their visitors.

7.30pm – Reading vs Queens Park Rangers

In the evening you can finish your football-filled Boxing Day at the Madejski Stadium by watching Reading FC against Queens Park Rangers in the Championship. That’s a 7:30pm kick-off,

So that’s three games you can attend in one day. Or you could spend time with your family, I suppose..
