The 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup kicks off with the Extra Preliminary Round and fixtures for Reading City, Binfield and Ascot United.
For the Yellamen it’s a home tie with Badshot Lea – albeit switched to the visitors ground new Westfield Lane ground while work continues at Ascot Racecourse.
Manager Jamie Tompkins confirmed to Football in Berkshire that several players were back in contention, particularly full back George Lock after missing the start of the season through an injury sustained in pre season.
Tompkins said: “We are looking good and fresh for Saturday with Elliott Carey and George Lock returning to the squad.”
At Hill Farm Lane, Binfield are visited by Wessex League US Portsmouth with Roger Herridge having several more options available.
He said: “Josh Helmore and Matt Deadfield are added to squad from Monday.
“Sean Moore trained but will return for Chalfont Wasps game. Jamie Griggs, Jemel Johnson and Johnny Hathaway are on loan at Eversley & California and Phil Veal is going to play games at Wallingford Town for a month.
“I have also signed young goalkeeper Samuel Szymczyk as cover for Dave Lyons.”
Reading City boss Simon Johnson is preparing for his first foray in teh FA Cup with a trip to Windsor. He said: “Arthur Furness will be joining the squad for the first time. Matt Stockill is set to start against his former club. Joe Bainbrigge also joins up with the squad for the first time. Sam Bell returns to the squad. Yashwa Romeo is out injured.”

Eversley & California bring Westside to Fox Lane and boss Matty Angell said: “We welcome Callum Collins back into the squad after coming back from injury, he will add creativity and pace to the line up and we also have Jamie Griggs on dual registration from Binfield who will add to our squad defensively!”
Sandhurst Town head to Kensington & Ealing Borough with two players back. Michael Herbert said: “Captain Luke Burrows is back from suspension and Grant Kemp returns following his wedding last weekend. We are hoping to get Jamie Mitchell signed on in time to play. He’s definitely one to watch this season.”
