Following the news late last night that Sam Barratt had signed for Southend United, the youngster has already made a mark on the Shrimpers fans on social media.
Barratt, 22 has joined the EFL League One side after three seasons with Maidenhead United where he picked up a National League South winners medal and was a big part of this seasons successful National League campaign.

And plenty of them have been watching his highlight reel.
Yorkshire Blue: "I'm 2 minutes 40 seconds into that highlight reel and Maidenhead's (lack of) finishing is quite something. He's been robbed of about half a dozen assists already because they can't convert from inside the 6 yard box" 👀https://t.co/OU8FkfWDY7

Barratt joins the Shrimpers following the departure of Jermaine McGlashan, another former Bracknell winger. Southend finished 10th in League One last season and current boss Chris Powell was appointed in January 2018, succeeding Phil Brown.
