Another Ascot United Ladies youngster is up for an EPC sponsored Bracknell Football Award after Georgia Bowers was nominated in the category of Young Player of the Year.
Bowers is, according to the nomination: “A great talent who goes from strength to strength each season. Contributing by assisting in many of the teams goals this season she is a true fighter on the pitch who just doesn’t give up, 100% work rate. She may be one on the youngest on the ladies team but she manages to stand up against a range of competitors and does so with great sportsmanship.”
The Yellawomen were promoted to the Southern Region Women’s League Premier Division last season with Bowers playing 21 games and scoring 11 goals in all competitions and this season played 19 times scoring twice.
