Another milestone has been reached in the career of former Bracknell Town and Woodley United winger Sam Barratt after he was included in the sixteen man squad to face Slovakia in the International Challenge Trophy Final against Slovakia on Wednesday 8th November.
Maidenhead United winger Barratt was a late call up to the training camp at Lilleshall at the start of the month after a great start to the National League season and clearly impressed former Barnet boss Paul Fairclough to make the squad.
We went a bit more in depth on the England C squad and the competition they are playing in here.
According to the Aldershot Town website: “The game will be played in Ziar Nad Hronom, in the central Slovakian region of Banska Bystrica, approximately 170km east of Bratislava.”
The full squad announced in the Non-League Paper is: Cheye Alexander (Aldershot Town), Sam Barratt (Maidenhead United), Ryan Croasdale (Kidderminster Harriers), David Ferguson (York City), Morgan Ferrier (Dagenham & Redbridge), Jake Gallagher (Aldershot Town), Brandon Hall (Kidderminster Harriers), Louis John (Sutton United), Daniel Maguire (Blyth Spartans), Fejiri Okenabirhie (Dagenham & Redbridge), Jack Powell (Ebbsfleet United), Joshua Rees (Bromley), Grant Smith (Boreham Wood), Josh Staunton (Woking), Joe Ward (Woking), Alex Wynter (Maidstone United)
Arguably the most famous graduate in recent years from the England C squad is Watford and former Burnley striker Andre Gray who earned six caps and scored two goals between 2012 and 2014.
