Bracknell Football Awards: Referee of the Season

Who was voted referee of the season?

The Referee of the Season category in the Bracknell Football Awards was contested between three entries.

The winner though was this young referee who we received this glowing piece of praise: “George has ref’d us a few times this year, and I have been really impressed! He is young, but talks to players like he has been doing it for years. Always polite, explains the reasons for decisions in a calm and non-condescending way. He lets the game flow, and tries to play the advantage as much as possible. As a 43 year old Div 3 player, I doubt we will see him.much next season as he is a future Den Keen (local refereeing legend) in the making. Nice Lad, Great Ref!”

Congratulations GEORGE MAXWELL on being the first ever Bracknell Football Awards Referee of the Season!

The Bracknell Football Awards narrowed down the finalists based on public vote and a panel of judges including Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth. We apologise for the late delivery of the awards results.
