Windsor withdraw from Bracknell Town’s pre season tournament

The Royalists will be replaced by a Combined Counties League side

Windsor FC announced they were withdrawing from the four team pre season tournament hosted by Bracknell Town on Wednesday night shortly after confirming they would be playing in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

The tournament – to be hosted on the artificial surface at Larges Lane – was due to feature neighbours Bracknell, Binfield and Wokingham & Emmbrook as well as the Royalists playing in a group format over two weekends with the top two and bottom two playing off on the final Sunday.

Bracknell have moved quickly to replace them and announced that Combined Counties Division 1 side Eversley & California will replace them.

The Boars finished 6th in Division 1 last season and will be a bit of an unknown going in to the tournament.
