The Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Senior Cup Final will be competed for by Premier Division Morale Madrid and Division 1 AFC Crowthorne.
Crowthorne beat Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW 5-2 a fortnight ago to seal their final spot thanks to goals from Thomas Hogg, Joao Jardim (2), Jack Palmer and Marlon Rush.
In Sunday’s second semi-final though, Morale were certainly the underdogs against Premier Division leaders Finchampstead Athletic Sunday but Madrid – with no shortage of experienced footballers themselves – were able to push the game in to extra time and seal the win through Rob Ellis – heading home following a rebound off the post.
Morale will go in to the final – one last season by the now defunct Sunningdale & Wentworth – as favourites against their Division 1 opponents Crowthorne who are currently bottom of the league while Madrid have a great chance to better last seasons fourth placed finish.
The final takes place at Bracknell Town FC in May with full details on the dates to follow.
