The second round of the 2016/17 Buildbase FA Vase competition is only weeks away, with Ascot United flying the flag for East Berkshire after local rivals Bracknell Town were knocked out in the first round.

The Yellamen are among five Uhlsport Hellenic League sides left in the competition which includes Highworth Town – subject to a replay with AC London, Thatcham Town, Tuffley Rovers and Brimscombe & Thrupp.

Second round proper fixtures are due to be played on the weekend of Saturday 12th November with full round dates for the rest of the tournament available here.

Ascot will travel to the south coast to play Newhaven – based between Brighton and Eastbourne – their second long away trip of the campaign after heading to Kent in the previous round.

The full draw for the second round proper of the FA Vase is here, and you can expect the draw for the third round proper on Monday 14th November.
