When is the Preliminary Round of the 2016/17 Emirates FA Cup?

Following the opening round of the 2016/17 Emirates FA Cup on Saturday 6th August that saw Ascot United, Bracknell Town and Binfield all in action, the draw has been made for the Preliminary Round.

Of the trio, Ascot and Bracknell are looking forward to the next round after Binfield were knocked out by North Greenford United, there is a full round up of the action here.

Ascot have already equalled their best ever performance in the competition already this season by reaching the Preliminary Round, but Bracknell still have six matches before equalling their best ever performance, a first round proper appearance in 2000.

When is the next round?

The Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup takes place on Saturday 20th August with replay’s scheduled for the following midweek. You can see the full list of dates for this seasons competition here.

How many Hellenic League clubs are in the draw?

Including Ascot and Bracknell, ten Hellenic League teams remain, but that may drop to 9 if Abingdon United lose their replay with AFC Hayes on Tuesday night.
