We’ve been keeping a close eye on Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East this summer with four local clubs in Finchampstead, Sandhurst Town, Wokingham & Emmbrook and Woodley United all going head to head.
Finchampstead have been busy putting together a strong experienced looking squad with ex-Binfield captain and centre-back Gary Callaway remaining at the Memorial Ground while Woodley United have a new manager in Michael Herbert and Clive McNelly’s bid to restore confidence at Wokingham & Emmbrook will have been done no harm by the news the club can develop their Lowther Road ground to a step five grading.
Sandhurst Town as well are embarking on their first Hellenic League campaign after transferring across from the Combined Counties League in the summer and it promises to be a very exciting campaign, not least with the impressive champions Penn & Tylers Green remaining in the division.
