A smattering of midweek football across the county this week with Binfield vs Virginia Water on Monday one of the highlights.

It is the first time the two sides have met in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division and a win for either side could see them move in to the top half of the table.

As it stands, Virginia Water are the form side going in to the game with three wins and a draw from their last four league fixtures while the Moles have been on the end of 4-0 and 6-3 defeats at Abingdon United and Bishop’s Cleever.

Elsewhere, not strictly Berkshire but worth flagging nonetheless is Flackwell Heath at home to Reading u23 on Tuesday night in the Berks & Bucks County Senior Cup. The Royals beat Bracknell Town in front of a packed crowd in the previous round and there’s no reason to expect otherwise at Wilks Park.

Finally on Wednesday, it’s an away day for Windsor who begin a run of games against title chasers ahead of their FA Vase tie at Biggleswade when they visit Brackley Town Saints on Wednesday night.
