Holyport square off against table-toppers AFC Aldermaston at Summerleaze Village on Saturday. Both sides are playing only their second league game of the month due to them cup commitments.

The Atom Men have won their last four games in all competitions and will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Hellenic League Division One East.

Port are coming off the back of a disappointing run of three cup defeats, the latest of which came in midweek in the form of a 2-0 home loss to Sandhurst Town in the Berks & Bucks Trophy.

Woodley United continue their search for their first league points of the season when they travel to Arbour Park in Slough to face Chalvey Sports. The Kestrels, who have not played a league game in over a month, have seen their results improve recently and have won two of their last three games including a 2-1 victory over Thatcham Town Development in the Floodlit Cup on Tuesday.

Chalvey, nicknamed the Stabmonks, started brightly this season but tailed off in the last two months, taking two points from their last six league games.

In the other Step 6 game in the Hellenic League with local interest, Wokingham & Emmbrook make the trip to Amersham to face Penn & Tylers Green. The Sumas are enjoying a good run of form in the league, taking eight points from their last four games, and they have won their last three game in all competitions.

New signing Harry Oakley could be in line to make his debut for the club after sitting out last weekend. Penn currently sit 5th in the league with twelve points from six games and boast a 100% home league record, so they will provide a real threat to Wokingham’s recent good run of results.

Fizzers vs Spain?

In the Combined Counties League Division One Sandhurst Town welcome FC Deportivo Galicia to the Bottom Meadow. Deportivo were set up by the Galician Centre of London, which is a community group for Northern Spanish immigrants dating back to the 1960s.

The football team was formed in 1968 and even now Spanish players make up around 80% of the squad. The Spaniards have struggled in the league this season and currently sit 18th out of 19 teams having taken one point from their last eight league games.
