It’s a big weekend in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division title race with Roger Herridge’s Binfield side playing a major part.
They host leaders Highworth Town on Saturday before they entertain fifth place and local rivals Bracknell Town on Monday evening with the Robins still firmly in the title picture courtesy of their six games in hand.
A Binfield win against one side but not the other would firmly help the team not beaten by Herridge’s side whilst second placed Thatcham Town would benefit.
Thatcham of course are away at 1874 Northwich in the Buildbase FA Vase semi-final second leg and will head north with a solitary goal lead from the first leg.
Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Bracknell Town host Fairford Town (fresh from a 6-2 win over Windsor) whilst Woodley United and Ascot United head West facing Longlevens and Royal Wootton Bassett Town respectively.
Bracknell have added four players to their squad in midweek on dual registration, three from Slough Town and Darren Wheeler from Godalming Town.
There’s big weekends too for Berks County are are away to TVPL leaders Woodcote Stoke Row whilst Binfield Ladies host Abbey Rangers Ladies on Sunday witth Rangers boasting a perfect twelve wins from twelve league record.
