Binfield entertain Woodley United in a Friday night football treat for fans whilst there are important games for Bracknell Town and Ascot United, albeit for different reasons.
The Moles are unlikely to finish higher than sixth this campaign but victory in the local derby will cement their place as ‘best of the rest’ behind Highworth Town, Thatcham Town, Wantage Town, Bracknell and Flackwell Heath with those five having broken away from the pack.
Manager Roger Herridge has boosted his squad with the signing of former Mole Lewis Leonetti whilst United manager James Anderson will look to Hayden Richardson for goals knowing victory for them will move them out of the bottom four. The Wokingham Paper’s Tom Crocker spoke to Anderson about Richardson here.
Bracknell travel to Abingdon United who beat league leaders Highworth 4-2 on Wednesday night with on-loan striker Dejon Noel-Williams bagging a hat-trick but we are not sure if he’s available tomorrow. Regardless, the Robins need to win to keep pace with Thatcham and close the gap on leaders Highworth, it’s still anyone’s title and no mistakes can be afforded.
At the wrong end of the table, Highmoor Ibis host Ascot United and a win for the Yellamen keeps them outside the the bottom four relegation zone, although we only expect one or two sides to get relegated and Ascot could move ten points clear of the bottom two to virtually guarantee their safety.
In Division One East, there’s another tasty derby as Sandhurst Town welcome Wokingham & Emmbrook to Bottom Meadow with the sides playing out a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture in September, who will claim the bragging rights this time around?
In the Thames Valley Premier League, new manager Lee Simpson takes his side to basement team Taplow United hoping to get his managerial reign off to a winning start.
As ever, please check with the host club before you travel. Links on the home teams indicate we have an away day guide available to help plan your trip.
