It’s the first full weekend of Uhlsport Hellenic Football League fixtures this weekend with Division’s 1 East and West joining the action along with all the Premier Division sides who are – mostly – already two games down.

Arguably the big derby of the day see’s Woodley United host their first ever Premier Division match at home to Scours Lane landlords Highmoor Ibis off the back of an impressive first outing and point against Flackwell Heath 11 days ago.

It should be a great occasion for the Kestrels, though Highmoor will certainly be up for the match and have strengthened their ranks with the signing of former Thatcham Town player manager Gareth Thomas this week.

Elsewhere, Binfield will hope to unleash new signing Josh Howell on Oxford City Nomads at Hill Farm Lane but will miss the suspended Joe Grant while Bracknell Town are on the road to Royal Wootton Bassett Town looking to make it three wins in three, and three clean sheets in three – but will be without suspended captain Carl Davies.

We’ve covered the big Division 1 East kick off in great depth here – but suffice to say it’s the clash between AFC Aldermaston and Wokingham & Emmbrook at the Rec Soc that will draw the attention but there’s a Hellenic debut for Virginia Water in the illustrious grounds of the their temporary home – Windsor’s Stag Meadow to consider.
