It’s been a difficult couple of weeks for Langley FC. The loss of their manager Max Johnson was followed by ten players leaving the club. This led to a makeshift Langley team losing by an astsonishing eleven goals to one to Berks County.
Langley have moved to appoint Michael East as their new manager. East has managed at Tring Athletic and won the Suburban League with Aylesbury Vale Dynamos Development before managing their first team. He has also had a spell jointly in charge of Chalfont St Peter.
East has already appointed his backroom team with Andrew Chapman, Sam Day, Demaro Woodruffe and Carlan Edgar joining him at the club.
It’s not been a dreadful start to the league season for Langley. They currently lie in 16th position having won three of their nine league fixtures. A change of manager and a few new players could easily see the club’s fortunes turn around.
Langley travelled to Brook House on Saturday and lost 3-1 in the opening game of the Michael East era, they host FC Deportivo Galicia on Wednesday.
