Combined Counties League Wokingham & Emmbrook are planning one last push to make their club house ready for a brand new kitchen.

In 2023 the Sumas won a grant through England Football and the Berks & Bucks FA as part of the Howdens game changer programme which means the national chain will supply and fit a brand new kitchen and appliances at Lowther Road.

In a Facebook post released by the club revealed: “We had a great meeting with Ricky from Howdens Wokingham depot (see photo) last month to talk about the design, following which he has now drawn up the plans for our new ESSC (Emmbrook Sports & Social Club) kitchen.

“However, we need to get some minor building works done first, before the new kitchen can be installed.”

In order to raise funds, the Sumas are now planning one great big bash on 3rd February at the club house to enable them to complete the work needed.

Live music is the order of the day with tickets only available in advance from ticketsource.co.uk/essc – they are expected to sell out quickly.
