Isthmian League Binfield’s Assistant Manager Roger Herridge has announced his departure from the Moles.

Binfield lost 3-0 to Badshot Lea on Saturday with Herridge tweeting: “This club has a big place in my heart but I think it’s now the right time for me to walk away.”

The Moles are currently bottom of the Isthmian League South Central Division One South on four points after 12 games.

Herridge was a long serving manager of the Moles, leading the side until 2020 when Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg took over. He had a brief spell in caretaker charge when the duo left to takeover at Bracknell Town.

The former Wokingham & Emmbrook boss lead Binfield to seven cup finals in five seasons eventually winning the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over FA Vase winners Thatcham Town. He took the Moles to the Fourth Round of the FA Vase in 2020, losing on a penalty shootout to Deal Town.
