Combined Counties League Premier Division North Virginia Water have announced Adam Sams as manager following the departure of Adam Bessent.
The Surrey side – who play their games at Windsor & Eton’s Stag Meadow – hat originally appointed Sams and his assistant Ben Warren as an interim management team but have now made the change permanent.
Virginia Water have enjoyed a strong start to the season in the Premier Division and sit seventh with games in hand on the majority of teams above them.
Football in Berkshire witnessed the Waters impressive comeback against Holyport in September where they bounced back from 2-0 down and having their goalkeeper sin-binned.
Very thankful for the faith Dave and Ceri have put in us giving us the opportunity to take the club on its next chapter. A pleasure to have @Ben_Warren_1984 and @BradleyJones25 by my side through this journey and let’s carry on the good work we have started.

However the Surrey side were knocked out of the FA Vase at the weekend, losing 4-3 on penalties to Woodley United.
The club statement also confirmed Warren would remain as assistant and Brad Jones would continue as First Team coach until his move to America in November.
