Bracknell Town chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse has released a video showing work starting on laying a new 3G pitch at Bottom Meadow.

The turf has started to come up at the home of Sandhurst Town, where Bracknell also play having moved out of Larges Lane in Bracknell.

This season Sandhurst especially were caught up in a serious backlog of fixtures that saw them play back-to-back matches in April – but still managed to lift the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Division One title.

Bracknell had a fixture backlog of their own to contend with in their run to the Southern League Premier Division South play-off Final.

Despite the weather and the fixture congestion, Bottom Meadow played host to some serious history over the last season with an FA Cup First Round Proper tie live on ITV for Bracknell Town when they hosted Ipswich Town while the ground also hosted a Play-Off Final.

Bracknell have been placed back in the Southern League Premier Division South next season while Sandhurst’s reward for winning the title is a season in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South.
