Former Maidenhead United and Slough Town striker Manny Williams has taken up a new managerial role for the 2023/24 season.

The striker, most recently boss at Combined Counties League Burnham, will take up a joint-manager role with another CCL side, Egham Town.

41-year-old Williams made three more appearances for Slough last season in the Vanarama National League South, scoring twice, but has now been confirmed as co-boss of the Sarnies alongside Jay Gasson.

A club statement said: “We are pleased to announce we appointed Mr Jay Gasson and Mr Manny Williams as joint Managers for the coming season. They have agreed to deal with all football-related matters and to expand our online profile”.

Egham remain a Step 5 side next season after suffering a 3-1 defeat in the inter-step play-off to Merstham who retain their Step 4 status.
