Bracknell Town secured a highest ever league finish in the clubs history on Saturday following a 3-1 win at Plymouth Parkway.
The Robins finished second in the Southern League Premier Division South on 90 points, three behind champions Weston-super-Mare and earned home advantage in the end-of-season play offs.
Bracknell beat a 36-year-old record in finishing second, their previous highest position was third in the Isthmian League Division One at the end of the 1986/87 season (the equivalent of Step 3 now) behind Leytonstone Ilford and Leyton Wingate, narrowly missing promotion to a division where they could have faced Yeovil Town – as they could again do next season.
Bracknell made the play-offs alongside Truro City, Poole Town and Chesham United to create a thrilling semi-final and Final set of matches.
