Isthmian League South Central Division One South Central side Binfield have appointed former Hayes & Yeading United manager Garry Haylock as First Team manager.
Haylock joins the Moles with some big shoes to fill following the departure of Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg to neighbours Bracknell Town last week but has some serious experience in the dugout having lead the Middlesex side to the top tier of non-league football in 2009 as well as spells managing Farnborough, Bedfont Town with a period as First Team coach at League Two Exeter City.
Withers and McClurg departed Hill Farm Lane after taking over from Roger Herridge in April 2020. The duo led the Moles to unprecedented success including promotion to Step 4 of the English Football Pyramid, and the Final of the 2021 FA Vase at Wembley Stadium.

A statement released on the Binfield website from Moles chairman Andy Cotton said: “Securing Garry’s signature is a huge milestone for our football club. His playing and managerial experience, combined with his incredible coaching knowledge and history of player development is remarkable. I’m absolutely thrilled that Garry has come aboard and I know that our hugely talented First Team will be equally delighted that he’s joined the Binfield family. Garry has been following the progress of the team for some time now and is eager to just get started, excited about the group and the challenge ahead.”
Binfield have some big games coming up in the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round and FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round, with caretaker boss Roger Herridge in charge for tonight’s Velocity Trophy tie at home to Marlow.
