Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Division One champions Bracknell Town have accepted the resignation of manager Bobby Wilkinson.

A statement released by the club said: On Thursday, we accepted the verbal resignation of first team manager Bobby Wilkinson. Bobby was going to take todays game; however, sadly events unfolded as they did on Thursday, and todays game was rightly postponed.

As a club, when we appointed Bobby in 2019, we had planned to be further along our journey at this stage. Two seasons ended due to the Covid pandemic has seen us only able one promotion in three years.

In recognition of Bobby’s outstanding achievements last season and out of respect to his ambitions to manage at a higher level we have, subject to a legal agreement, accepted his resignation.

The board would like to thank him and his coaching team for their continued efforts and success.

We wish him all the best for the future.
