Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Reading City have appointed a new management team for the clubs under 23s side that plays in the Thames Valley Premier League.

The new duo in charge comes with no shortage of experience – new boss Kieran Jennings was the manager of AFC Aldermaston when the Atom Men returned to the Hellenic League while his assistant Jamie Williams was most recently in charge of Woodley United.

Jennings most recent role was as assistant to Glenn Goudie at Wallingford Town and his new position will see him charged with pushing players toward the Cityzens first team managed by Simon Johnson.

Jennings, who takes over from Dean Jones in the under 23 hot-seat, said to Football in Berkshire: “Our aim is to finish as high as possible but we know one of the biggest focuses will be to bring lads through who will be capable of supporting Simon’s first team. We are going to have a strong link to the JMA so will be introducing a lot of those lads to men’s football along with having some more seasoned boys to help them develop.”
