The East Berks Football League concludes on Saturday with Britwell vs Singh Sabha in a ‘winner takes all’ final game of the season at the top of the Premier Division table.
It seems then a good time to launch a new Football in Berkshire feature focussing on the clubs that make up the EBFL, starting with the lads from the Chicken Ranch, Britwell FC, courtesy of first team manager John Brennan.

Are refreshments available at the ground? If so what is available?: Yes, beer snacks and soft drinks.
What facilities are available at the ground?: Toilets, Fenced off pitch, Car park, Bar, Disabled access.
Club kit colours (home and away): Black and yellow – home, Orange – away
What is the ambition for the club? Keep providing youth and adults of the community a sporting facility they can be a part of and be proud of.
Who sponsors the club? What does that do for the club?: Drinks stop – Britwell. Their kit sponsorship helps us to look the part and also promotes a local business.
Does your club have a youth/junior section?: Yes a newly formed U7’s, U13’s and U16’s
Who are the big characters and volunteers at your club? Who makes the club tick?: Sean Wright – Mr Britwell. Been a parish councillor and chairmen of Britwell FC since 1974
What is the big moment in the club’s history?: We’ve won many trophies ranging from youth county cups lead by Barry Jennings and Shaun Wiles, to Senior League and a couple of double-winning seasons.
Who would you say has been your best ever player and why?: Stuart Moulder – mercurial talent and such a character. Someone who epitomises the Britwell way.
